Pink Martini - best band i've seen in years
I could have chosen to see D.L. Hughley in NY city at carnegie hall, but instead drove up to hyannis on a rainy thurs, to get a motel room with my wife, and o to the melody tent ( never been there before) to see one of the most interesting bands i've heard in years. The Melody tent is also the perfect place to see this band. along with Paul McCartney. I felt like they were giving me a private concert in my own living room. their music was perfect and the setting intimate and well worth passing up a chance to see them in Manhattan. They rank up there in my top 5 all time concerts . I am a professional musician, having played in shows at the old Westbury Music fair, and i enjoyed working on the rotating stage. As an audience member i enjoyed watching D.L. Hughley as they turned to play to all audience members. We had a great time and wished we could have spent more time enjoying hyannis. the next day, in the rain, we took the ferry out of new london and headed back to NY.
